  • What certifications and registrations does GTD have?
    GTD operates in full compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Our facility holds the following certifications and registrations: HACCP Certified – We follow Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points protocols to ensure food safety throughout production. FDA Registered – Our facility is registered with the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. Licensed by the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD) – We are fully licensed to operate as a beverage manufacturer in the state of Michigan. Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) – We adhere to GMP standards to maintain product quality, safety, and consistency.
  • What is included in your pricing?
    The quote we provide traditionally includes: Packaging Materials: cans, lids, labels, and case trays Production Services: Producing the beverage, filling the cans, carbonation/nitrogen dosing, pasteurization, and palletization Not included in the quoted price: Ingredients: Given the variable nature of the projects we encounter, we leave ingredient procurement in your responsibility. Shipping: Transportation and delivery to your location is not included, but we do have warehousing options on site. Please note: If you find a better price for packaging materials, you are welcome to self-procure and we will remove that from the quoted price.
  • What does the process of working with GTD look like?
    Getting started with GTD is simple: Get connected – Head to the “Request a Quote” tab on our website and fill out the quote form with your project details. Initial contact – Once we receive your form, a member of our team will reach out to you. Introductory meeting – We’ll schedule a meeting to learn more about your goals, timeline, and product needs. Next steps – From there, we’ll guide you through feasibility, commercialization, production planning, and fulfillment options. We’re here to support you every step of the way!
  • Does GTD handle eCommerce?
    Yes! We can help you manage your online store. Our services include: Platform management: We help you list your items on major platforms. Inventory management: We make sure your inventory is up to date to ensure accurate availability. Order fulfillment: We pick, pack, and send your products directly to your customers.
  • Does GTD ship internationally?
    Yes, GTD offers international shipping. We can coordinate logistics to ship your products just about anywhere in the world, whether it is direct to consumers or bulk shipments to international distributors or retailers. Please note that international shipping may require additional documentation, customs coordination, and compliance with destination country regulations. We’re happy to help guide you through the process.
  • What warehouse and fulfillment services does GTD provide? Are there additional fees?
    GTD offers a full suite of warehouse and fulfillment services to support your business needs. These include: Storage: Short- and long-term warehousing for your finished goods E-commerce order fulfillment: Pick, pack, and ship directly to your customers B2B order fulfillment: Bulk shipments to distributors, retailers, or other businesses Repack services: Breaking down or reconfiguring cases and pallets as needed Kitting and assembly: Custom product bundles, promotional kits, or multi-SKU packaging Labeling: applying labels to your product Fees for these services vary based on volume, and complexity.   • Does GTD ship directly to customers or retailers?
    Yes, we offer shipping for both B2B (business-to-business) and DTC (direct-to-consumer) orders. Whether you're sending products to a retailer, distributor, or directly to your customers, we can handle the logistics. For shipments to retailers (typically on pallets), we can coordinate shipments through our logistic partners at a pass-through cost. If the store has special delivery rules (routing guides), please send those to us ahead of time so there are no delays.
  • How do I know if my product needs to be pasteurized?
    Whether your product requires pasteurization depends on several factors, including its ingredients, pH level, shelf-life expectations, and whether it will be refrigerated or shelf-stable. To determine this, you’ll need to consult with a licensed process authority or formulator. They can evaluate your formula and provide the necessary guidance to ensure your product meets safety and regulatory standards. We’re happy to connect you with a trusted process authority if needed.
  • Can I attend production day? Can I make changes to my recipe on-site?
    You're welcome to join us on your canning day! Many clients enjoy being part of the process and seeing their product come to life. If you choose to join us on canning days, we do require that you wear gloves and a hairnet, both are provided. However, recipe changes are not allowed on-site. All formulations must be finalized and approved before production day to ensure quality control, consistency, and compliance with safety standards.
  • What is the average lead time?
    The time it takes to finish your project (lead time) can be different depending on how far along you are in the commercialization process: If you're fully prepared (finalized formulas, approved labels, and ingredients ready) lead time is typically based on how long it takes to get your slowest ingredient and production schedule availability. If you're still in product development / commercialization phase, the timeline may be longer and will depend on how quickly those steps are completed. We’re happy to work with you to establish a realistic timeline based on your specific needs and where you are in the process.
  • Can GTD produce beverages using a hot-fill process?
    No, GTD does not offer hot-fill processing. However, we utilize a cold-based process with pasteurization that achieves comparable safety and shelf-stability results for most beverage types. If you're unsure whether your product requires hot-fill or cold-fill, we can help you consult with a process authority to determine the best approach for your formulation.
  • Does GTD offer canning or bottling services? What sizes are available?
    GTD exclusively offers canning services. We do not offer bottling currently. We support a wide range of can sizes to suit different product types and market needs, including: (250ml slim, 250ml sleek, 12oz standard, 12oz sleek, 16oz, 19.2oz)
  • Does GTD provide in-house formulation services?
    No, GTD does not offer in-house formulation. However, we can connect you with experienced formulators who can help you develop and finalize your recipe. Before we can begin production, we require a finalized formula that has been reviewed and approved by a qualified formulator or process authority.
  • What are GTD's production capabilities?

  • What is the maximum carbonation level?
    Carbonation levels depend on whether your product will be pasteurized: Tunnel pasteurized products: Maximum of 2.4 volumes of CO₂ Non-pasteurized products: Maximum of 2.7 volumes of CO₂ These limits help ensure product safety and compliance with our equipment capabilities.
  • Does GTD perform in-house microbial testing?
    No, GTD does not conduct microbial testing in-house. However, we work with trusted third-party labs and can help coordinate microbial testing services as needed for your product. Microbial testing is a way to check if there are tiny germs (like bacteria, yeast, or mold) in a product. This ensures your beverage meets all safety and regulatory standards before it reaches the market.
  • Can GTD produce THC beverages?
    No, GTD does not produce THC-infused beverages. Due to Michigan State Regulations, the production of marijuana infused beverages requires a specialized license and must meet strict guidelines for safety, shelf stability, and facility.
  • Does GTD provide cans and packaging materials?
    Yes, GTD supplies all standard canning materials, including: - Cans, Lids, Labels, Case trays, Pallets. These materials are included in your production quote unless otherwise specified. This does not include e-commerce packaging. If you have custom packaging needs, we’re happy to discuss options.
  • Can GTD produce alcoholic beverages?
    No, GTD does not produce alcoholic beverages. We do not produce any beverages that require fermentation.
  • Does GTD procure ingredients?
    No, GTD does not source or purchase ingredients directly. However, we work closely with a network of trusted flavor houses and are happy to connect you with them. You’ll be responsible for sourcing and delivering your ingredients to our facility prior to production.
  • Are there minimum order quantities?
    Yes, we have a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 350 gallons per flavor per production run. This helps ensure efficiency and consistency throughout the canning process.
